Integrated Water Monitoring of Qianhan Hydrologic Station

Qianhan Hydrologic Station is located in Qinhuai River, Yangqiao Village, Moling Street, Jiangning District, Nanjing City. It is a flood period hydrologic station, and now provincial key hydrologic station, with functions of flood control, planning & design, navigation, water resource evaluation, etc. The maximum water level of Qianhan Hydrologic Station which was actually measured was 11.60m, and it occurred in July, 1991. The maximum actual-measured flow rate was 1160m3/s, which occurred in July, 2013.

Because Qianhan village station of Qianhuai river is controlled by the gate, and the relationship of its water level and its flow is like a loop, it always use sequential legal line, which has limitations. This project uses the integrated water dynamic monitoring system researched by hawksoft, and recognize the water level and measure the flow by the method of machine visual image analysis.

The project was entrusted by Jiangsu Water Resource Survey Bureau, Nanjing Branch. Based on the method of machine learning image analysis, through the five cameras on the bridge shooting and analyzing at the same time, it can realize all-day unattended flow measurement of section. In the meantime, shoreside integrated water dynamic monitoring device monitors water level data and transmits it to the terminal to display.
